Men's Soccer Weekly Release #1
HADLEY, Mass. – Wesleyan junior forward Evan Hazelett (Amherst, Mass.) was named NESCAC Player of the Week for Sept. 12, 2011. Hazelett tallied the golden goal for the Cardinals on Saturday, as he scored just 1:25 into overtime with a shot from 25 yards out that bounced off the post for a 3-2 victory over Bowdoin.

Volleyball Weekly Release #1
HADLEY, Mass. – Bowdoin senior MB Kristin Hanczor (Redding, Conn.) and Trinity sophomore OH Hanna Brickley (Melrose, Mass.) shared NESCAC Player of the Week honors for Sept. 12, 2011. Hanczor averaged 3.13 kills and 1.00 blocks per set while hitting at a .481 rate as the Polar Bears went 3-1 at the Endicott Invitational. Brickley averaged 4.10 kills and 4.30 digs per set with a .299 hitting percentage during a 3-0 showing at the Brandeis Invitational.

HADLEY, Mass. – Connecticut College sophomore forward Laura Sanderson (Hanover, N.H.) earned NESCAC Player of the Week for Sept. 12, 2011. Sanderson had seven points on three goals and an assist during a 2-0 week for the Camels. In just two outings, Sanderson has already eclipsed her total scoring from 2010 (5 points).

Women's Soccer Weekly Release #1
HADLEY, Mass. – Junior midfielder Rachel Madding (Hillsborough, Calif.) of Middlebury and senior forward Brett Eisenhart (Seattle, Wash.) of Williams shared NESCAC Player of the Week for Sept. 12, 2011. Madding had both Panther goals in a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Tufts on Saturday. Eisenhart tallied both game-winners for her squad during a 2-0-0 weekend.

Cross Country Weekly Release #1
HADLEY, Mass. – Middlebury senior Michael Schmidt (Wilmette, Ill.) and Colby junior Berol Dewdney (Chester, Vt.) were named the NESCAC Performers of the Week in Cross Country for Sept. 12, 2011. Schmidt placed 12th out of 53 runners at the Dartmouth Invitational this past Saturday. Dewdney placed first in the Junior/Senior race at the Class Relays hosted by Bates over the weekend.
