Weather Forces Delays for NESCAC Championships, Tennis Moved Indoors
MEDFORD, Mass. – Weather throughout New England has forced changes for all NESCAC championship contests.
As of 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, the NESCAC Softball Championship at Williams has been pushed back today's first game, originally scheduled for 10:00 a.m., until 3:00 p.m. Game four will likely start at 5:00 p.m. Game five is now scheduled to take place at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday
At the NESCAC Baseball Championship, both the Williams-Tufts game at Tufts' Huskins Field and the Bowdoin-Wesleyan game at Bentley's DeFelice Field will take place at 3:30 p.m.
Over at Amherst, the Men's & Women's Tennis Championships will take place indoors, with the women at Mt. Holyoke (9:00 a.m.) and the men at Hampshire College (11:30 a.m.).
At the Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships, lightening has forced a delay of 30 minutes for both opening games.
