Sophia Cornew
Bowdoin College
Junior • Setter • Portola Valley, Calif.
Cornew led the Polar Bears to an unbeaten weekend at the
season-opening Endicott Invitational, earning All-Tournament honors
in the process. The setter averaged 10.0 assists and 2.1 digs per
set to go with eight service aces. Cornew was at her best on
Saturday, when she led her team to a 3-1 triumph over regional
power UMass Boston. She dished out 45 assists to go with nine digs
and two aces in the match. Bowdoin was the only team in the
tournament to record a perfect 4-0 mark. |

Katie Ketcham
Connecticut College
Senior • Setter • San Francisco, Calif.
Ketcham paced Connecticut College in a four-match sweep at the
Johnson and Wales Invitational over the weekend. The setter
averaged 10.25 assists and 1.83 digs per set for the Camels, who
did not drop a set at the tournament. Ketcham came up big in the
championship, collecting 35 assists and three kills in a 3-0
triumph over Springfield. |

Spencer Noon
Amherst College
Senior • Forward • Farmington, Conn.
Noon opened the season in dramatic fashion, recording his first
career hat trick in a 6-0 win over Colby-Sawyer on Saturday. After
scoring a pair of goals in the first half, the forward finished off
the hat trick with a header through traffic in the 53rd minute. He
added an assist in Amherst's 2-0 triumph over Bridgewater State on
Sunday. Noon is the Lord Jeffs' all-time leading scorer. |

Hannah Withiam
Hamilton College
First Year • Midfielder • Greenwich, Conn.
Withiam lifted the Continentals to a dramatic 2-1 triumph over
Trinity with her golden goal 4:30 into the second overtime period
on Saturday. The rookie also assisted on the tying goal midway
through the second half. Withiam tallied her second goal of the
year in Hamilton’s 2-1 win over Oswego State on Sunday. |

| Men's Cross Country Performer of the
Week |

Jack Davies
Middlebury College
Senior • Groose Pointe, Mich.
Davies completed the 8,000-meter course in 25:37 to take 22nd
place at the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. Middlebury
competed against Dartmouth and Syracuse at the event, taking third
place as a team. |

Amelia Ortiz
Williams College
Sophomore • Eagle, Colo.
Ortiz led the Ephs to a first place finish out of seven teams at
Vassar College’s Ron Stonitsch Individual on Saturday. The
sophomore took home top honors in the 5,000-meter race, crossing
the line in 19:11. |

Lauren Greer
Middlebury College
Senior • Forward • North Hampton,
N.H.
Greer exploded out of the gate, racking up 14 points in a pair of
Panther victories over the weekend. The forward figured in on four
of her team’s five goals in their season-opening 5-2 win over
Tufts on Saturday. In addition to scoring twice, she also dished
out a pair of assists. Greer was at it again the following day,
pouring in a hat trick to go with two more assists in
Middlebury’s impressive 8-3 triumph over MIT. |
