First Year • Outside Hitter • Corte Madera,
Calif.
Ahern averaged 4.09 kills and 1.64 digs per set while hitting .340
in a 2-1 week for the Lord Jeffs. The outside hitter was at her
best on Friday, when she led her team to a 3-1 conference win over
Trinity. She piled up 18 kills and four blocks in the contest,
while hitting .441. Ahern finished with a double-double on 17 kills
and 10 digs in Amherst’s 3-1 win at Johnson and Wales on
Tuesday. She closed out the week by hitting .308 with 10 kills and
two blocks against Skidmore on Saturday.

Emily Cannon
Tufts University
Junior • Midfielder • Atkinson, N.H.
Cannon amassed eight points on three goals and a pair of assists
in a perfect 3-0 week for the Jumbos. The midfielder scored the
first two goals of her career in a 3-2 win over Colby on Saturday.
Her heroics continued the following day, when she found the back of
the cage for the game-winner 6:50 into overtime in her team’s
thrilling 2-1 triumph over previously unbeaten Trinity. Cannon also
assisted on the Jumbos’ first goal of the contest. She opened
the week with an assist in her team’s 2-1 victory at UMass
Dartmouth on Wednesday.

Jae Heo
Amherst College
Junior • Forward • Changwon, South Korea
Heo piled up seven points on two goals and three assists in a
perfect 2-0 week for the Lord Jeffs. The forward figured in on four
of his team’s five goals in their 5-1 win over Hamilton on
Saturday. After setting up their first two, he scored one of his
own in the 55th minute. The junior added his third assist of the
game midway through the second half. Heo chipped in with another
goal in Amherst’s 2-0 victory at Middlebury on Saturday. He
has now scored in each of his team’s first five games.

Elizabeth Foody
Middlebury College
Junior • Goalkeeper • Ottawa, Ontario
Foody allowed no goals in almost 300 minutes of action in a 2-0-1
week for the Panthers. The junior was at her best on Sunday, when
she kept Amherst off the board with nine saves in a scoreless tie.
She opened the week with five stops in 1-0 overtime win at
Plattsburgh State on Tuesday. Four days later, she turned away five
shots in a 1-0 triumph over Bowdoin. Foody finished the week with
19 saves.

Junior • Dover, N.H.
Wallis won the Williams Purple Valley Classic with a time of
26:13. The junior was the lone Jumbo among the 208 entrants
competing in the 8,000-meter race.

Julia Mark
Wesleyan University
Senior • Bloomsbury, N.J.
Mark propelled the Cardinals to a first place finish out of 11
teams at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday. The senior captured
top honors in the 5,000-meter race, crossing the line in 19:06.1.
She finished 1.7 seconds in front of her nearest competitor.

| Offensive Player of the Week |

McCallum Foote
Middlebury College
Junior • Quarterback • Newton, Mass.
Foote threw five touchdown passes to lead Middlebury to a 42-18
win over Bowdoin on Saturday. The junior completed 26-of-44 passes
for 285 yards and did not throw an interception. Three of his
touchdown passes came in the first half (3, 24, 16), as the
Panthers built a 21-9 halftime advantage. Foote then added scoring
strikes of 19 and 25-yards in the fourth quarter to seal the win
for the hosts.

Jake Bussani
Wesleyan University
Junior • Defensive Back • Pleasanton, Calif.
Bussani intercepted two pases in Wesleyan’s 35-14 triumph
over Tufts on Saturday. His first came on the Jumbos’ opening
play from scrimmage and set up the first of three first-quarter
touchdowns for the Cardinals. Bussani added another interception
with six minutes to play, giving his team a chance to run out the
clock. The junior finished with four tackles and also broke up one
pass. |

Week |

Joe Mallock
Williams College
Junior • Kicker/Punter • West Orange, N.J.
Mallock helped the Ephs to a 41-7 victory over Colby on Saturday,
connecting on field goals of 39 and 42 yards. The junior was a
perfect 5-for-5 on PAT attempts and kicked off eight times with one
touchback. Mallock punted twice for an average of 34.5 yards. |
