Volleyball Player of the Week
Megan Jarchow Megan Jarchow
Middlebury College
Junior • Outside Hitter • Cos Cob, Conn.

Jarchow led the Panthers to a 3-1 week with 3.29 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .382. The outside hitter was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Volleyball Hall of Fame Invitational over the weekend. Middlebury rolled to 3-0 wins over Wellesley and Brandeis at the event before suffering a heartbreaking 3-2 setback to Springfield on Saturday. After posting 11 kills and a hitting percentage of .733 hitting against Wellesley, Jarchow sent down 19 kills against Springfield.
Field Hockey Player of the Week

First Year • Forward • Trumbull, Conn.

Kennedy scored two goals to lead the Polar Bears to an important 3-2 triumph over Trinity on Saturday. After opening the scoring in the early stages of the first half, the forward broke a 2-2 tie with just under 20 minutes remaining in regulation. It was her fourth game-winning tally of the season. Bowdoin will host a NESCAC Championship quarterfinal on Saturday.
Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Senior • Midfielder • Yarmouth, Maine

Murphy exploded for seven points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bobcats. The midfielder piled up three goals and two assists in his team’s 5-1 victory at Southern Maine on Wednesday. He followed that up with two more tallies in a 2-0 triumph at Middlebury on Saturday. In the process, he lifted Bates to its first conference win since October of 2010. 
Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Junior • Forward • San Francisco, Calif.

Kirk figured in on four of the Panthers’ five goals in a perfect 2-0 week. The forward was at her best on Tuesday, when she scored a pair of goals in her team’s dramatic 2-1 triumph over Skidmore. Her second came 2:30 into double overtime and sealed the win. Kirk followed that up with a goal and an assist in Middlebury’s 3-0 win over Bates on Saturday.
Offensive Player of the Week

Middlebury College
Junior • Quarterback • Newton, Mass.

Foote threw five touchdown passes in the Panthers’ 38-23 victory over Bates on Saturday. The junior completed 36 of 50 passes for 436 yards, as Middlebury improved to 5-0 for the first time since 1992. After recording three touchdowns passes in the first half, he added two more strikes early in the third quarter to help his team pull away. Foote also earned Offensive Player of the Week honors on September 23.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Sophomore • Defensive Back • Trumbull, Conn.

Milne returned three kicks for 123 yards in the Continentals heartbreaking 32-29 setback at Colby on Saturday. After taking a kick back 67 yards late in the second quarter, the sophomore opened the second half with a 40-yard return. Milne also made an impact on the defensive end, recording a sack.
Defensive Co-Player of the Week

Senior • Defensive Back • Mansfield, Mass.

Aldo collected eight tackles, a forced fumble and an interception in the Lord Jeffs’ 17-9 victory at Wesleyan on Saturday. The senior forced a fumble in the second quarter to set up his team’s first touchdown of the day. He then came up with a key interception with just over five minutes remaining in regulation to seal the win.
Defensive Co-Player of the Week

Sophomore • Linebacker • Redding, Conn.

Nelson piled up a game-high 17 tackles in the Mules’ dramatic 32-29 triumph over Hamilton on Saturday. With just seconds remaining in the third quarter, the linebacker kept the Continentals out of the end zone on three consecutive attempts from the one yard line. He made one solo stop and assisted on two tackles during the sequence. Hamilton was limited to a field goal on the drive and led 29-13 before Colby reeled off 19 unanswered points over the final 8:15.
