Ashley Wentworth, Bates College

Ashley Wentworth graduated
summa cum laude from Bates College in 2006, with a B.A. degree in
sociology. She earned the Milton L. Lindholm Scholar-Athlete Award,
awarded to the senior male and female athlete with the highest
academic average, as well as the Drake R. Bradley Award for
excellence in undergraduate research.
She excelled on the track as well. The middle-distance runner from
North Andover, Mass., owns four school records, all established in
her senior year, in the indoor 800 meters (2:15.22), the indoor 600
meters (1:38.38), the indoor 4x400 relay (4:00.19) and the outdoor
4x400 relay (4:00.50). Wentworth qualified provisionally to compete
at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the
800.
Wentworth now attends medical school at the University at Buffalo.
