Brian Morrissey, Williams College

Brian Morrissey (Winchester, MA) was a standout two-sport athlete and captain for the Ephs, earning eight letters, setting the all-time Division III rushing record at Williams and earning regional honors in both football and lacrosse.

Thrust into the tailback position as a first year in the season finale versus arch rival Amherst, Morrissey responded with the Ephs only 100-yard rushing performance of the year, gaining 118 yards on 18 carries and led the Ephs to the first of four consecutive wins over Amherst by his class.

As a sophomore Morrissey was a Second Team All-NESCAC Selection and as a junior and senior he moved up to First Team status, leading NESCAC in rushing both years.

In lacrosse Morrissey started every game for four years at long stick middie for the Ephs and was a key member of the 2008 Williams team that won the school’s first NESCAC title and appeared in its first NCAA Tournament.

As a sophomore he was a Second Team All-NESCAC honoree and his last two seasons he was accorded First Team laurels. In 2008 Morrissey also garnered NEILA and ECAC Second Team honors.
