Herman Brito

Herman Brito was a standout football captain on and off the field at Trinity College, where he majored in public policy & law, with a minor in writing and rhetoric. An Academic All-American and a two-time NESCAC All-Academic selection, Brito earned All-NESCAC accolades in 2009, 2010, and 2011. More impressive than his athletic career was his commitment to the community, for which Brito was recognized with the prestigious Robert R. Bartlett Award for service. On Trinity's campus, Brito served as a student admissions associate, a writer's associate, a writing studio Coach, and a resident assistant. In the community, Brito was a mentor at the McDonough School, a Teacher's Assistant in Intensive Elementary Spanish II, and he represented Trinity, on service trips through sport, to rural villages in Guatemala and through Habitat for Humanity in Miami, Florida. In the summer of 2011, Brito served as an intern with the Massachusetts Legislature and was named the student intern of the year.

"I see how hard my mom and my family works, and it always reminds me that no matter how hard things are, you can always find time to give back," Brito said.
