May 16, 2005
Joe Vladeck, Amherst
(Junior, Pitcher - Washington, D.C.)
Junior hurler Joe Vladeck picked up a pair of wins and upped his
record to 7-1 as Amherst won its second straight NESCAC
Championship Tournament. Vladeck struck out six and allowed just
two earned runs in six complete innings in Friday's first-round win
over Tufts, and rebounded just two days later with 3.2 innings of
stellar relief, as Amherst upended fifth-ranked Trinity 8-7 in 10
innings in the NESCAC title game.

Jeff Maier, Wesleyan
(Junior, Third Base - Old Tappan, N.J.)
Over a six-game span, one during which the Cardinals won three key
NESCAC games and tied another to secure a playoff spot, Maier went
10-for-19 (.526) with five runs and six RBI. In game one of a
double header sweep of Middlebury, the junior third baseman scored
three of Wesleyan’s five runs in a 5-4 victory over the
Panthers. On Saturday at Amherst, Maier scored the tying run in the
6th inning in a 3-2 victory over the Jeffs before scoring the first
of four runs in the top of the 7th inning in game two.

Josh Santry, Amherst
(Senior, Third Base - Allendale, N.J.)
Senior third baseman Josh Santry batted .667 with nine RBI in a 3-1
week for Amherst, which remained in first place in the NESCAC West
Division standings after taking two out of three from rival
Williams. Santry, who recorded an .818 on base percentage during
the three game series, went 3-for-4 with five RBI and a run scored
in Amherst's Game 3 win over Williams. The senior homered and drove
in three runs in a 17-16 win over Brandeis earlier this week.
April 25, 2005
Michael Regan, Trinity
(First Year, Pitcher - West Roxbury, Mass.)
Michael Regan made four relief appearances, totaling 8.2 innings
pitched and allowing just a single run with 11 strikeouts and one
walk. In division games, Regan tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless
relief to allow the Bantams to tie the score at 5-5 in the seventh
inning of a 6-5 win over Tufts, and allowed just two hits and no
runs with six strike outs from the sixth through the ninth innings
in the Bantams' 4-3 win in 10 innings (7 inning game) over Tufts on
Sunday that gave the Bantams their third straight NESCAC East
Division crown.
April 18, 2005
Greg Hickey, Tufts
(Senior, Designated Hitter/Catcher - Medway, Mass.)
Greg Hickey hit .588 (10-for-17) and slugged 1.176 with two
doubles, a triple and two home runs during a 4-0 week for Tufts. He
also had eight RBI and scored six runs. The senior was 7 for 12
(.583) with two home runs, six runs batted in and four runs scored
as the Jumbos swept Bowdoin during a NESCAC East weekend. He had
two RBI in each game of the three game series, finishing 3 for 4
with a home run on Friday and 3-for-5 with a home run in the second
game on Saturday. His home run and a run-scoring single helped
Tufts overcome a 7-1 deficit in Saturday's second game.

Jeff Natale, Trinity
(Senior, Third Base - Hamden, Conn.)
Senior Jeff Natale went 10-for-18 (.556) with nine runs, eight RBI,
three doubles, and two home runs as the Bantams improved to 17-2
with four wins in five games. Natale also walked three times and
was hit by three pitched to record a .667 on-base percentage.
April 4, 2005
Bryan McDavitt, Tufts
(Sophomore, First Base - Holden, Mass.)
Bryan McDavitt hit .625 (5-for-8) with two home runs, eight runs
batted in and four runs scored in a 2-0 week for Tufts. He also
walked three times and had 12 total bases (1.500 slugging
percentage). He clubbed both home runs - a three-run shot and a
grand slam - in a 10-3 victory over Bates in the NESCAC East opener
on Friday. He finished the game 2 for 4 with seven runs batted in.
March 28, 2005
Ryan Armstrong, Middlebury
(Junior, Outfielder - Whitman, Mass.)
Ryan Armstrong hit .548 for Middlebury on its spring trip,
including an 8 for 11 effort as the Panthers took two of three from
Williams. He ended the 10-game stretch with 12 runs, eight doubles
and six walks for an on-base percentage of .600. In the series win
over Williams, Armstrong had five doubles, six RBI and four walks,
reaching base 80% of the time he came to the plate.
