Williams' Szawlowski Named All-American by AFCA
WACO, Texas - Williams senior offensive tackle John Szawlowski (Hatfield, Mass.) had earned All-America honors by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), it was announced on Wednesday. Szawlowski is the only NESCAC player to receive All-America recognition this season. He is the first Eph since LB Graham Goldwasser in 2003 to garner All-America.

Trinity's McGrath Selected as 2008 Boston Globe Gold Helmet Player of the Year
HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College senior captain QB Eric McGrath (Lynn, Mass.) has been selected as the 2008 Boston Globe Gold Helmet Player of the Year for NCAA Divisions II/III. McGrath will be honored by the New England Football Writers Association at their annual banquet on Thursday, Dec. 11 at Casa Di Fior in Wilmington, Mass. He is the first Bantam football player to be so honored since former NFL quarterback Joe Shield in 1984.

2008 Football All-Conference Teams Announced
HADLEY, Mass. - Trinity seniors Eric McGrath (Lynn, Mass.) and Tyler Berry (East Lyme, Conn.) have been named the 2008 NESCAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, as determined by the conference coaches. McGrath is the first Bantam to earn Offensive honors since Tom Pierandi did so in 2003, while Berry is the third Trinity player in the past five years to claim the conference’s Defensive award. The duo helped the Bantams to their 11th perfect season in program history along with their fifth league title in the past seven seasons.

Trinity's McGrath Earns Boston Globe Golden Helmet Award
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Trinity quarterback Eric McGarth (Lynn, Mass.) received the Boston Globe Gold Helmet Award for Division II/III Wednesday at the New England Football Writers luncheon at Harvard’s Dillon Fieldhouse. Also earning the award for the week of Nov. 12, 2008 was Harvard quarterback Chris Pizzotti (Reading, Mass.) from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
