2000 Field Hockey Players of the Week
November 6, 2000
Carlin Aloe, Wesleyan
(Senior, Forward - Pittsburgh, Pa.)
Aloe was named the Most Valuable Player of the ECAC tournament won
by Wesleyan. She scored the game-winning goal in the title game
against Clark with 5:08 left in the second overtime. She also
assisted on the overtime goal in a 1-0 win over Connecticut College
in the first round.

Jill McDonald, Bowdoin
(Freshman, Goalkeeper - Hudson, Quebec)
McDonald improved her career record to 12-0 as she lifted the
Polar Bears to the first NESCAC field hockey title. She made six
saves in a 2-1 victory over Tufts in the semifinals before shutting
out Williams with five saves, only the second time this season the
Ephs were shut out.

Leah McClure, Bowdoin
(Sophomore, Forward - Rothesay, New Brunswick)
McClure scored two goals in a 3-1 win over Colby that clinched the
number one seed for Bowdoin.
October 16, 2000
Taryn Hutchins-Cabibi, Wesleyan
(Senior, Goalkeeper - Concord, N.H.)
Hutchins-Cabibi played all 140 minutes in two Wesleyan victories,
making 23 saves and yielding just one goal. She made 16 saves in a
2-0 win over Bates, her 17th career shutout, as the Cardinals won
their sixth consecutive game.

Jessica Martin, Trinity
(Junior, Goalkeeper - Fort Myers, Fla.)
Martin came off the bench to record 18 saves in 60 minutes against
Colby. She set a school record with 28 saves in a 1-0 Trinity
overtime loss to Bowdoin.
Steph Noering,
Williams
(Sophomore, Forward - Cohasset, Mass.)
Noering scored the game-winning goal in overtime in a 2-1 Williams
win over Bates. She scored one goal and added an assist in a 4-2
Eph victory over Colby.
October 2, 2000
Jill McDonald, Bowdoin
(Freshman, Goalkeeper - Hudson, Quebec)
McDonald played every minute in posting back-to-back shutouts. The
Polar Bears topped Babson 2-0 on the road before stunning
fourth-ranked, and previously undefeated, Amherst 1-0 in overtime.
She made six saves in the win over the Jeffs and lowered her goals
against average to 0.24.

Gretchen Bowe, Amherst
(Senior, Midfielder - Hampstead, N.H.)
Bowe scored three goals and added one assist in three wins for
seventh-ranked Amherst. She scored once and assisted on another
goal in a 2-1 win over Connecticut College.

(Senior, Midfielder - Hampstead, N.H.)
Bowe scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over Bates. She also
scored one goal and assisted on two others in a 5-1 win over MIT.

Emily Huffman, Connecticut
College
(Freshman, Forward - Oklahoma City, Okla.)
In her collegiate debut, Huffman scored two goals to lead the
Camels to a 3-2 victory over Middlebury on Saturday.
