Kassey
Matoin, Bowdoin (Junior, Defender - Springvale, Maine) Matoin helped lead the Polar Bears to their sixth NESCAC title in the last seven years with a stellar two-way effort over the weekend in wins over Trinity and Middlebury. Bowdoin’s center back helped lead a unit that held the Bantams without a shot during Saturday’s 2-0 semifinal victory. Sunday afternoon, Matoin anchored a defensive unit that held the Panthers’ league-leading offense to one tally. She also assisted on the game’s first goal in a 2-1 victory. |

Caroline
Snite, Trinity (Senior, Forward - Philadelphia, Pa.) Snite had the game-winner in both of the Bantams’ games last week, a 2-1 victory at Wesleyan on Wednesday and a 2-1, double-overtime win at Tufts in the NESCAC quarterfinals on Sunday. Wednesday afternoon, Snite broke a 1-1 tie with 11:04 left in the second half. At Tufts on Saturday, Snite forced the Jumbos turnover that led to the game-winning goal, scoring on a rebound in the 93rd minute. She entered the week with three goals over 13 games. |

Curren, Bowdoin (Senior, Midfielder - Roxbury, Conn.) Curren had the game-winning goal with 12:25 left to play to give Bowdoin a 1-0 win at Trinity on Saturday and the number-one seed in the NESCAC Field Hockey Championship for the first time since 2007. She also had an assist in Wednesday’s 7-0 win over Husson and helped the Polar Bear defense post back-to-back shutouts last week. |

Lauren
Greer, Middlebury (Junior, Forward - North Hampton, N.H.) Greer had a hand in half of the Panthers’ goals with three tallies and two helpers during a 10-0 win at Bates on Saturday. With the effort, Greer became the program’s all-time leader in points with 158, surpassing Heidi Howard’s 155 from 1995-98. She also set the single-season scoring mark with 67 points after Chase Delano had 61 in 2008. |

Katie
McMahon, Amherst (Junior, Forward - Denville, N.J.) McMahon recorded three goals, including two game-winners, and had two assists in a 2-1 week on the road for the Lord Jeffs. McMahon opened the scoring at Babson Wednesday evening in an eventual 5-0 win. She followed on Saturday at Colby by breaking a 1-1 tie with back-to-back goals in less than 10 minutes before adding an assist on the game’s final goal in a 4-1 victory. McMahon closed the week with an assist in a 2-1, penalty-stroke setback at Bowdoin on Sunday. |

Greer, Middlebury (Junior, Forward - North Hampton, N.H.) Greer had another big week for the Panthers as she scored six goals and assisted on six others over three victories last week, just one week after racking up 17 points to take over first in the conference in scoring. Greer had two goals and three assists in Tuesday’s 5-0 win at Castleton, two tallies and two helpers during a 4-0 victory at Hamilton on Saturday, and another two goals and an assist in Sunday’s 6-1 decision over Babson. Greer now has 28 career assists, becoming Middlebury’s all-time leader. |

Greer, Middlebury (Junior, Forward - North Hampton, N.H.) Greer scored six goals and assisted on five others as she played a part in 11 of the Panthers’ 12 goals during a 3-0-0 week. She started things off with a goal and two assists in Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Skidmore, then netted three goals and two assists in Saturday’s 6-1 decision over Wesleyan. Greer closed the week with another two tallies and an assist in Sunday’s 3-1 victory against Connecticut College. Entering the week with five goals and two assists, Greer now leads the NESCAC in scoring. |

Smith, Bowdoin (Junior, Forward - Larchmont, N.Y.) Smith had two goals and an assist to help the Polar Bears go 2-0 in NESCAC play over the weekend and remain the only unbeaten team in the conference. On Saturday against Middlebury, Smith assisted on Bowdoin’s first goal, then put home the game-tying goal with less than five minutes to play in regulation as the Polar Bears went on to a 3-2 overtime win. At Williams on Sunday, Smith tallied what proved to be the game-winner 1:50 into the contest as Bowdoin earned a 3-1 victory. |

Dyer, Tufts (Senior, Defender - Windham, N.H.) Dyer was a key figure for the Jumbos last week, scoring twice and anchoring a defense that allowed no goals in a 2-0 week. She had a goal in Tuesday’s 5-0 win over Babson and tallied the game-winner via penalty stroke during Saturday’s 2-0 decision over Wesleyan. Over the two games, the Tufts defense allowed a combined nine shots and only two reached the net. |

Sanderson, Connecticut College (Sophomore, Forward - Hanover, N.H.) Sanderson had seven points on three goals and an assist during a 2-0 week for the Camels. She opened the 2011 campaign Thursday with two goals and an assist in a 6-1 win at Eastern Conn. St. On Saturday at Colby, Sanderson scored the game-winner on a penalty corner as time expired in a 3-2 victory. In just two outings, Sanderson has already eclipsed her total scoring from 2010 (5 points). |
