Mwaturura of Trinity Earns CoSIDA Academic All-America Honors
TOWSON, Md. - Trinity College field hockey senior midfielder Christine Mwaturura (Helensvale, Zimbabwe) was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America At-Large Third Team, it was announced on Thursday, June 11. She was the only NESCAC student-athlete selected on the College Division At-Large Teams. The Womens At-Large program for Academic All-America includes the sports of bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, skiing, tennis and water polo.

Hamilton to Join NESCAC as Full-Playing Member
HADLEY, Mass. Hamilton College will join the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) as a full-playing member effective with the start of the 2011-12 academic year, it was announced today by Barry Mills, President of Bowdoin College and chair of the NESCAC presidents, and Andrea Savage, Executive Director of the NESCAC.

Trinity's Mwaturura Earns NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
HARTFORD, Conn. - Trinity senior Christine Mwaturura (Helensvale, Zimbabwe) has been awarded a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship as part of the Fall 2008 recipients. An All-American, Mwaturura earned All-NESCAC First Team and Fall All-Academichonors in 2008. She is the only NESCAC student-athlete from the fall to earn an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and one of two Division III field hockey players.

Pearson of Bowdoin Named NFHCA National Coach of the Year for Second-Straight Season
BRUNSWICK, Maine - For the second straight year, Bowdoin College field hockey coach Nicky Pearson has been named the Division III National Coach of the Year. Pearson, who also received the honor following the 2007 season, was honored by her peers at the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Annual Banquet January 16 in Philadelphia.

11 NESCAC Players Named NFHCA All-America
HADLEY, Mass. - 11 field hockey players from NESCAC institutions garnered All-America recognition from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) on Monday. Of the 11 individuals selected among the three All-America teams, four student-athletes found a spot on the First Team: Bowdoin seniors Lindsay McNamara and Julia King, Middlebury sophomore Chase Delano, and Tufts junior Margi Scholtes.
