Trinity Holds Slim Lead After Day One at NESCAC Golf Qualifier
Defending Champ Middlebury One Stroke Behind Bantams with 302
CLINTON, N.Y. - Day one of the NESCAC Golf Qualifier at the Skenandoa Club witnessed the Bantams of Trinity College hold the lead over the field with a team score of 301 as sophomore Reid Longley (Atlanta, Ga.), the 2006 NESCAC Player of the Year, finished the day one stroke under par at 71. Trinity is followed closely by 2006 NESCAC Golf Champion Middlebury, as the Panthers are just one stroke behind. Hamilton sits in third 307, while Williams is fourth with 309. Day two of the NESCAC Golf Qualifier begins tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The top four teams from the qualifier will earn the right to compete for the NESCAC Golf Championship during the last weekend in April at the top finisher from this weekend's action.
