Williams Leads After Day One at Golf Championship

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Williams holds a two-stroke lead over both Trinity and Hamilton after day one of the 2009 NESCAC Men’s Golf Championship. The Ephs shot a 306 on the first day of competition, followed by Trinity (308), Hamilton (308) and Middlebury (313). The Championship event is taking place at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the campus of Middlebury College.
Reid Longley of Trinity, Jack Killea of Williams and L.J. Scurfield of Hamilton each shot a two-over-par 73 on day one to lead the field. Matt Felser of Williams and Ben Kunofsky of Middlebury were next with 76’s to round out the top five.
