Williams Collects Title at 2012 NESCAC Women's Golf Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Williams College shaved
five strokes of its day one score to capture the 2012 NESCAC
Women’s Golf Invitational. The Ephs shot a 323 on day two to
finish with a 651 at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course (par 71 - 5,801
yards).
Host Middlebury College collected second place with a team score
of 663. The Panthers were followed by Amherst College (694),
Bowdoin College (799), Hamilton College (811) and Bates College
(896) in the final team standings.
Georgiana Salant of Williams recorded a two-day
total of 153 (78, 75) to earn medalist honors. She ended the
weekend five strokes in front of Middlebury's Keely Levins, who
secured second place with a tally of 158 (79, 79). Shelby Shote of
Williams and Elizabeth Monty finished in a deadlock for third place
with matching scores of 161.
Rounding out the top five was Jordan Glatt of Middlebury
(164).
