KENSINGTON, Conn. - First-year Drew Murray (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) and Jack Killea (Ridgefield, Conn.) each carded a score of 145 to lead Williams College to victory in the the 2008 NESCAC Golf Championship on Sunday afternoon at the Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Kensington, Conn. The Ephs had a two-day score of 590, 13 strokes ahead of second place Hamilton. The Continentals finished tied with the Panthers of Middlebury with a score of 603, however Hamilton had the tie-breaker advantage.

KENSINGTON, Conn. - Williams College holds a 12-stroke lead over defending champion Middlebury after day one at the 2008 NESCAC Men's Golf Championship at Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Kensington, Conn. Hamilton sits in third place with 306, just three strokes behind Middlebury, and host Trinity is fourth with a score of 318.
HADLEY, Mass. - Trinity College, the winner of the NESCAC Fall Qualifier, will look to earn its first conference title in program history this weekend when the Bantams host the 2008 NESCAC Golf Championship. The Bantams will be joined by Hamilton, Middlebury and Williams for the two-day, 36-hole event at the Shuttle Meadow Country Club in Kensington, Conn. The first group will tee off on Saturday, April 26, at 12:15 p.m. with the championship concluding on Sunday, April 27.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Middlebury College mens hockey and golf coach Bill Beaney has been listed among the 100 Most Influential Sports Educators by the Institute for International Sport. Other notables joining the schools 21-year veteran on the list were UCLA legend John Wooden, Duke mens basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, Penn State football coach Joe Paterno and Tennessee womens basketball coach Pat Summitt.
October 2, 2007 NESCAC Golf All-Conference Teams Announced
HADLEY, Mass. Spurred by an even-par 72 on the second day of the NESCAC Golf Championship Qualifier, Trinity sophomore Josh Grossman (Great Neck, N.Y.) has been named the 2007 NESCAC Player of the Year. Grossman helped the Bantams earn the right to host the 2008 NESCAC Golf Championship in April by finishing atop the field of 50 with a two-day total of 146. Grossman is the third consecutive Trinity linksman that has earned NESCAC Player of the Year honors, after George Boudria received the award in 2005 and sophomore Reid Longley (Atlanta, Ga.) claimed it in 2006.
