Schultz of Williams, Choice of Colby Earn All-America from NABC
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2010 State Farm Coaches’ Division III All-America teams. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. Williams senior Blake Schultz, the 2010 NESCAC Player of the Year, was chosen among the eight members of the All-America First Team, while Colby senior Adam Choice earned Third Team honors.

HADLEY, Mass. – Williams College is headed to the semifinals of the 2010 NCAA Tournament in Salem, Va. The Ephs are back in the semis for the first time since 2004 thanks to a 104-70 victory over SUNYIT on Friday and a 71-57 win against Brandeis on Saturday. After earning the school’s first NCAA men’s basketball title in 2003, Williams will look to add a second this weekend at the Salem Civic Center when the Ephs battle Guilford (30-2) in the first semifinal on Friday evening.

Williams Rolls SUNYIT, 104-70, in NCAA Men's Basketball Sectionals
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Williams placed four players in double figures with seniors Alex Rubin, Blake Schultz and sophomore James Wang all netting 21 points and junior Troy Whittington adding 13 in an 104-70 defeat of the SUNYIT Wildcats. Williams will face Brandeis, a 74-65 winner over Rhode Island College in the first semifinal of the night, Saturday at 7:00 PM for the right to advance to Salem, Va. and the national semifinals on March 19.
