Hamilton Nets 2-1 Overtime Victory at Williams in Men's Ice Hockey Quarterfinals

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – When Williams and Hamilton met on January 9, Williams escaped with a 3-2 overtime win. Saturday night, Hamilton got its revenge, scoring 2:47 into the first overtime period for a 2-1 win and advancing to the semifinals of the NESCAC Men's Ice Hockey Championship for the first time since 2006.
The Continentals (15-8-2, 11-7-1 NESCAC) will face top-seeded Bowdoin, a 2-1 overtime winner against Colby on Saturday night, next Saturday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m.
Williams opened the scoring 4:05 into the second period when Mark Lyons tallied with help from Evan Dugdale and Ryan Scott. Hamilton tied the score five minutes later on the power play. Tom Chiapetta got credit for the goal as he deflected a shot from BJ Lalonde.

Wallace buried a rebound off a shot by Andrew White.
Ryan Purdy finished with 22 saves for Williams, while Calvin Bartel
stopped 25 shots for Hamilton.
