Federico
Sucre, Amherst (Junior, Defender/Midfielder - Caracas, Venezuela) Sucre helped the Lord Jeffs win their second NESCAC title as he had a hand in all four of Amherst’s goals while helping a defensive unit that allowed just one score. Down 1-0 on Saturday against Middlebury, Sucre netted the equalizer in the 80th minute before assisting on the decisive goal in the 105th minute in his team’s 2-1 overtime victory. Sunday afternoon, Sucre assisted on the opening tally in the 20th minute and scored in the 48th minute for a 2-0 win over Trinity. Sucre entered the weekend with a goal and two assists over the Jeffs’ previous 15 games. |

Finan, Williams (Junior, Goalkeeper - Williamstown, Mass.) Finan helped the Ephs earn a spot in the semifinals of the 2011 NESCAC Men’s Soccer Championship last week, as he made 13 saves and allowed only one goal (.985 save percentage) in a 1-0-1 week for Williams. Wednesday at Middlebury, Finan stopped seven shots in a scoreless tie that helped the Ephs earn a home quarterfinal contest. On Saturday against Tufts, Finan had six saves as Williams posted a 2-1, come-from-behind victory with a pair of late goals. |

Drolet, Middlebury (Senior, Forward - Lachine, Quebec) Drolet tallied half of the Panthers’ goals in a 2-0-0 week. He scored the game’s only goal in the 85th minute to give Middlebury a 1-0 win at Bates Saturday. Earlier in the week, Drolet’s pair of goals 3:32 apart early in the first half built the Panthers’ lead from 1-0 to 3-0 in a 5-0 win over Plymouth St. |

Schonberg, Trinity (Senior, Goalkeeper - Mendham, N.J.) Schonberg made six saves in a 2-0 victory over Bowdoin on Saturday, the Bantams’ lone game of the week. His second-straight clean sheet gave Schonberg the program’s all-time record for shutouts with the 18th of his career. The win also snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Polar Bears. |

Noon, Amherst (Junior, Forward - Farmington, Conn.) Noon had three goals and an assist in a 3-0-0 week for the Lord Jeffs. He scored the only goal of Tuesday’s 1-0 win at Trinity. Saturday afternoon at Colby, Noon helped break a scoreless tie by assisting on the game’s first goal in the 51st minute before tallying a pair of his own in a 3-0 victory. Noon currently leads the NESCAC in scoring with nine goals. |

Meisel, Colby (Junior, Midfielder - Newtown, Conn.) Meisel assisted on both goals during the Mules’ 2-0 victory at rival Bowdoin on Saturday, their lone game of the week. Meisel’s long pass set up Nick Aubin for the game’s first goal in the 79th minute. He followed just four minutes later with an assist on Eric Barthold’s goal that made it 2-0. The pair of assists brought Meisel to 11 for his career, as he helped Colby record only its second win against Bowdoin in the last 15 years. |

Abbott, Hamilton (Freshman, Forward - Ridgewood, N.J.) Abbott tallied his first career goal and assist in the Continentals’ only game last week, a 2-1 victory at Bates on Saturday. Abbott opened Saturday’s scoring with a goal in the 17th minute. He followed in the 88th minute by setting up the game-winning goal. |

Schonberg, Trinity (Senior, Goalkeeper - Mendham, N.J.) Schonberg had a pair of shutouts and posted a .909 save percentage during a 2-1-0 week for the Bantams. After making two saves in a 2-0 win at Western Conn. St. on Tuesday, Schonberg stopped three shots in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Colby. The 1-0 overtime loss at Tufts on Sunday (five saves) halted a streak of scoreless play at 446 minutes. |

Purdy, Wesleyan (Junior, Goalkeeper - Montclair, N.J.) During a 3-0-0 week that vaulted the Cardinals to the top of the NESCAC standings, Purdy allowed only one goal and posted a .933 save percentage (14 saves) while playing every minute of every game. He stopped five shots in Wednesday’s 1-0 win at Connecticut College, then recorded six saves in a 2-1, double-overtime victory against Williams on Saturday. He closed the week with three saves in Sunday’s 2-0 win at Hamilton. With 17 career shutouts, Purdy needs one more clean sheet to establish a new program record. |

Amherst (Sophomore, Forward - Changwon, South Korea) Heo collected seven points with three goals and an assist during a 2-0-0 week of NESCAC action for the Lord Jeffs. Saturday afternoon, Heo assisted on the game’s first goal and had what proved to be the game-winner in a 3-2 decision over Bates. He followed on Sunday with two goals in a 3-0 shutout of Middlebury, opening the scoring in the seventh minute before sealing the win in the 83rd. |

Hazelett, Wesleyan (Junior, Forward - Amherst, Mass.) Hazelett tallied the golden goal for the Cardinals on Saturday, as he scored just 1:25 into overtime with a shot from 25 yards out that bounced off the post for a 3-2 victory over Bowdoin. Hazelett also assisted on the Cardinals’ second goal 25 minutes into the match. Two of Hazelett’s four career goals have served as the game-winner for Wesleyan. |
