Williams Wins 2002 Men's Tennis Title

AMHERST, Mass. - The Williams College men's tennis team took home its 10th consecutive NESCAC Championship title with 31 points on Sunday. Bowdoin College was the runner-up, finishing with 22 points while Middlebury College placed third with 19.5 points.

Williams' Josh Lefkowitz won the flight "A" singles championship defeating Wesleyan's Alex Wong in straight sets. The flight "C" title went to Bowdoin's August Felker, while Williams claimed all four of the remaining singles flights. Fourth-seeded Middlebury won the flight "A" doubles, defeating Bowdoin in three sets. Bowdoin notched first place in the flight "B" doubles, edging Amherst College, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. Williams then claimed the flight "C" doubles, downing Middlebury in straight sets.
