| Laura
Chapman, Tufts (Senior, OF - Seattle, Wash.) Chapman batted .700 (7-for-10) with an on-base percentage of .750 in helping the Jumbos record three victories and win the 2009 NESCAC Softball Championship over the weekend. She also had two walks and was 3-for-4 in stolen base attempts. In a 4-1 week overall for Tufts, Chapman averaged .500 (8-for-16) and was 5-for-6 in stolen bases. |

Santone, Tufts (Sophomore, RHP - Madison, Conn.) In three appearances last week, Santone did not allow an earned run, including 10 innings during the 2009 NESCAC Softball Championship. Over 16 IP, Santone allowed 14 hits and two walks while holding opponents to a .233 average. She helped the Jumbos win their sixth conference title with a victory in game four over Wesleyan and a save in Sunday’s championship game. |

Bernstein, Wesleyan (Sophomore, 1B - Miami, Fla.) Bernstein batted .636 (7-for-11) with a .667 on-base percentage and a .727 slugging mark for the Cardinals during a 3-0 sweep of Hamilton that put them into the NESCAC Softball Championship for the third-straight year. She drove in nine of Wesleyan’s 18 runs on Saturday while scoring twice. Bernstein also was flawless at first base on 24 chances. |

Daub, Williams (Sophomore, RHP - Claremont, Calif.) Daub went 2-1 with a save over four appearances, recording a 1.39 ERA while holding opposing batters to a .181 average and striking out 15. In a must-win doubleheader on Saturday against Amherst, Daub entered with the bases loaded and two outs and induced a pop-up in a 5-3 win. She went the distance in the second outing, allowing seven hits and three walks while striking out two in an 8-4 victory. |

Lepore, Colby (Sophomore, DP - Victor, N.Y.) Lepore batted .667 (12-for-18) during a 4-1 week for the Mules, collecting eight extra-base hits among her 12 with six doubles and two home runs. Lepore also walked three times for an on-base percentage of .714 while also recording six runs and seven RBI. In the three-game series with Trinity, Lepore went 7-for-11. |

Gelmetti, Tufts (Senior, LHP - Westfield, N.J.) In three appearances for the Jumbos last week, Gelmetti went 2-0 with a save over 12.2 IP, holding opposing batters to a .091 average. She recorded 16 strikeouts while giving up no runs and only allowing four hits and three walks. She earned the save in Saturday’s second game against Bowdoin, coming into a 6-3 affair with the bases loaded and recording two outs. |

Burbridge, Middlebury (Sophomore, DP - Greenwich, R.I.) Burbridge batted .583 (7-for-12) with a .833 slugging mark during a three-game sweep of Hamilton over the weekend. Burbridge hit three doubles, drove in seven runs and scored four. |

Chang-Graham, Amherst (Junior, RHP - San Carlos, Calif.) Chang-Graham earned both wins during a 2-0 week for the Lord Jeffs, recording a 0.72 ERA while holding opposing batters to a .067 average. In a two-game sweep of Westfield St., Chang-Graham struck out seven while surrendering only two hits and one walk over 9.2 IP. She retired all five batters she faced in 1.2 innings of relief to lead Amherst in a come-from-behind victory during game two. |

Saniuk, Bates (Senior, 3B/DP - Sharon, Mass.) Saniuk batted .778 (7-for-9) and posted a 1.444 slugging percentage along with a .867 on-base percentage during a 3-1 week for the Bobcats. She hit two home runs, recorded six walks, had four RBI and four runs scored. Saniuk hit her 20th career homer on Sunday against Me.-Farmington, extending her program-record mark. She has currently reached base in six straight plate appearances. |

Gelmetti won starts against Springfield, Bridgewater St. and Trinity last week for the Jumbos, posting a 0.56 ERA over 16.0 IP and tossing two complete games. She held opposing batters to a .118 average as she gave up six hits and seven walks while striking out 12. Gelmetti came within one out of pitching a no-hitter during Saturday’s 8-0 win over Trinity. |

Williams (Senior, SS - Toronto, Ontario) In a 4-3 week out West for the Ephs, Lye batted .600 (12-for-20) with a .667 on-base percentage and a .700 slugging percentage. She also hit two doubles, collected four walks, had 10 runs scored, five RBIs and was 6-for-7 in stolen base attempts. Lye posted a fielding percentage of .960 over the Ephs’ seven games. |

Arsenault, Colby (Senior, RHP - South Paris, Maine) In six appearances during the Mules’ 10-game spring break trip, Arsenault went 3-0 with two saves over 24.1 IP, holding opposing batters to a .169 average. Arsenault pitched three complete games, surrendering only one run and one walk and giving up 15 hits while striking out 23 batters. During an 8-0, 5-inning win over MIT on Monday, Arsenault pitched a no-hitter, striking out four. |

Ripecky, Tufts (Senior, RF - Chicago, Ill.) During the Jumbos 12-0 week at the Sun West Tournament, Ripecky batted .525 (21-for-40) with a .525 OBP and a 1.000 slugging mark. She also had 10 extra base hits with four doubles, three triples and three home runs. Ripecky batted in 15 runs and scored 13 of her own. |

She pitched a four-hit shutout against Chapman on Monday and a two-hit shutout of Hamline on Friday. For the week, Santone had a 0.25 ERA as she allowed one earned run in 36.0 IP and surrendered only 22 hits. |
