HADLEY, Mass. – The NESCAC announced today the 2009-10 Men’s Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team. The top three finishers in each event at the 2010 NESCAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship received All-Conference recognition.

Junior John Dillon (Wellesley, Mass.) became the first individual from Middlebury to earn Swimmer of the Meet honors following the conference championship. Dillon won two butterfly titles, setting a meet record in the 100 and a pool record in the 200, and also the 50-yard backstroke. He was also a part of three Panther relay teams, as the 400-yard freestyle relay broke the previous championship record during its Sunday victory. Four Year High-Point Swimmer went to Connecticut College senior Pat Troy (Bradford, N.H.).

Tufts senior Rob Matera (Trumbull, Conn.) netted Diver of the Meet and Four Year High-Point Diver honors, as he finished first in the 3-meter event and was third in the 1-meter competition.

Middlebury head coach Peter Solomon was recognized as the Swimming Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career. Solomon last received the award in 2008. Fifth-year diving coach Jeff Miller of Wesleyan earned Diving Coach of the Year, the first time he has garnered the honor.
