March 10, 2008
Krystyn Elek, Amherst
(Sophomore, Goaltender - Summerville, S.C.)
Elek backboned the Jeffs to their second-straight NESCAC
Women’s Ice Hockey title over the weekend, making a combined
44 saves while allowing only two goals for a save percentage of
.957. Saturday against Trinity, Elek made 23 saves in a 2-1 win.
Sunday afternoon, Elek stopped 21 shots as Amherst took a 7-1
decision over Colby.
March 3, 2008
Stephanie Scarpato, Colby
(First Year, Forward - Osterville, Mass.)
Scarpato scored two of the Mules’ three goals in a 3-1
victory over Connecticut College in the first round of the 2008
NESCAC Women’s Ice Hockey Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Scarpato tallied the game’s first goal in the second period
before adding an insurance marker in the third. She is third in
scoring for Colby with eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points
through 19 games.

Karen Levin, Middlebury
(Senior, Forward - Morton Grove, Ill.)
Levin had three goals and three assists in helping the Panthers
capture the top seed in the 2008 NESCAC Women’s Ice Hockey
Championship with two wins over the weekend. Levin had two goals
and two assists during Friday evening’s victory at Hamilton,
then scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday’s win at
Wesleyan.

Michelle Chee, Trinity
(Junior, Forward - San Francisco, Calif.)
Chee played a part in each of the Bantams’ three goals
during a 1-0-1 road weekend at Bowdoin. Friday evening, Chee scored
both Trinity goals during a 2-1 win, the first Bantam win in
Brunswick in program history. During Saturday’s rematch, Chee
as-sisted on the lone Trinity goal as the two teams skated to a 1-1
tie. Chee is second on her team in scoring this season with 11
goals and seven assists for 18 points.
February 11, 2008
Anna McNally, Middlebury
(First Year, Forward - St. Paul, Minn.)
McNally tallied three goals and three assists during a pair of
wins for the Panthers last week. McNally had a hand in five of
Middlebury’s seven goals during a mid-week victory at
Williams, collecting two goals and three assists. She closed out
the week on Saturday at home with a goal in a win over Neumann.
McNally leads all conference rookies in scoring with 15 goals and
13 assists for 28 points through 17 games.
February 4, 2008
Meg Shine, Hamilton
(Sophomore, Goaltender - Duxbury, Mass.)
Shine posted a .940 save percentage during a 1-0-1 week for the
Continentals. Friday evening at Amherst, Shine made 46 saves during
a 2-2 tie. She closed out the weekend with 33 stops in a 4-3
overtime victory at Connecticut College on Saturday.

Courtney Hanlon, Amherst
(First Year, Forward - Fullerton, Calif.)
Hanlon had three goals and an assist during a 2-0 weekend for the
Jeffs. Friday evening against Colby, Hanlon scored both Amherst
goals in a 2-1 win over the Mules. Saturday afternoon, Hanlon
assisted on what proved to be the game-winner before scoring a
shorthanded goal in the third period of a 4-0 win over Bowdoin. The
pair of victories pushed the Jeffs’ current winning streak to
seven games.
January 21, 2008
Jill Campbell, Bowdoin
(First Year, Forward - Dartmouth, Nova Scotia)
Campbell posted a six-point weekend for the Polar Bears as part of
a 2-0-1 week. Friday evening, Campbell notched a goal and three
assists during Bowdoin’s victory over Wesleyan. She followed
up the performance by scoring both Polar Bear goals in a 2-2 tie
with Hamilton. Campbell leads Bowdoin with 10 points so far this
season (5-5-10) and is tied for sixth among all conference rookies
in points.

Kate Dennett, Amherst
(Sophomore, Forward - Highlands Ranch, Colo.)
Dennett led the Jeffs in scoring during a pair of victories over
the weekend, tallying three goals and adding two assists as Amherst
remained unbeaten in NESCAC play at 6-0-2. Dennett netted a pair of
goals and added an assist in a 6-0 win over Wesleyan on Friday
before chipping in a goal and assisting on the eventual game-winner
at Hamilton on Saturday.

Isabel Iwachiw, Trinity
(Sophomore, Goaltender - New York, N.Y.)
Iwachiw earned Tournament MVP honors at the Codfish Bowl hosted by
UMass Boston over the weekend, as she made 36 saves while allowing
only one goal in leading the Bantams to the tournament title with
wins over Oswego St. and UMass Boston. Iwachiw made 20 saves during
a 1-0 shutout in the championship game on Sunday against UMass
Boston. At 7-1-1, Trinity is off to its best start in the history
of the program.
December 10, 2007
Anna McNally, Middlebury
(First Year, Forward - St. Paul, Minn.)
McNally scored four goals and dished the puck twice in the
Panthers' victory over UMass Boston on Saturday afternoon.
McNally's first goal of the game came while Middlebury was
shorthanded in the first period, and she finished the contest with
four special teams points with a goal and the two assists coming
while the Panthers were on the power play. The rookie forward has
17 points through her first seven games at Middlebury (10-7-17),
leading the conference in goals and while ranking second in points.
December 3, 2007
Rachel Stemerman,
Wesleyan
(Junior, Goaltender - Williamsville, N.Y.)
Stemerman combined to make 89 saves on 91 shots (.978) in a
two-game set against Utica over the weekend. Stemerman made 39
stops for her third career shutout on Friday in a 1-0 Wesleyan win
before turning aside 50 shots in a 2-1 setback on Saturday.

Laura Anning, Colby
(Junior, Forward - Ingramport, Nova Scotia)
Anning had four of Colby's five goals, including the game-winner,
in a 5-1 victory over Southern Maine on Tuesday. With the score
tied at one late in the first period, Anning scored the first of
her four goals in the game. She now has 37 goals and 32 assists for
69 points in 52 career games.
Annmarie Cellino, Middlebury
(Junior, Forward - West Seneca, N.Y.)
Cellino had a nine-point weekend as the Panthers picked up a pair
of NESCAC victories. She finished the weekend with two goals and
seven assists, with seven of her nine points coming in Sunday's
victory over Hamilton. Cellino leads the conference in points,
averaging 3.0 per game.

Britney McKenna, Trinity
(Sophomore, Forward - Rye, N.H.)
McKenna had a hand in each of the Bantams' four goals over the
weekend, scoring three herself while assisting on a fourth as
Trinity skated away with a pair of wins over rival Wesleyan.
McKenna tallied the game's only goal in a 1-0 win on Friday
evening, followed by assisting on the first goal on Saturday
afternoon before scoring twice in a 3-0 victory over the Cardinals.
