The seasons of four NESCAC teams came to a close in the preliminary rounds of this year’s NCAA Tournament over the weekend. Bowdoin, Middlebury and Williams all fell in second rounds games, while Amherst was stunned in the first round.

First year Jamie Hofstetter was named NESCAC Player of the Week after she tied a Championship record with three goals in Bowdoin's 3-2 win over Hamilton in the quarterfinal round on Saturday. After a scoreless first half, the midfielder scored twice in a span of 2:08 early in the second period.

Junior Scarlett Kirk was named NESCAC Player of the Week after figuring in on four goals in a perfect 2-0 week for Middlebury. The forward scored twice in the Panthers' 2-1 triumph over Skidmore before collecting a goal and an assist in their 3-0 win over Bates.

Junior Sarah Duffy was named NESCAC Player of the Week after scoring in three straight games for Amherst. The forward recorded a goal and an assist in the Lord Jeffs' 5-2 triumph over Eastern Connecticut on Tuesday. She also scored goals in conference wins over Colby and Bowdoin over the weekend.

First year Abby Morss scored twice in the final 24 minutes of Williams' dramatic 3-2 triumph at Amherst on Saturday. The midfielder found the back of the net for what proved to be the game-winner with just 49 seconds remaining in regulation.

First year Abbey Lake has earned NESCAC Player of the Week honors after racking up seven points in a 1-1 week for Trinity. The forward was at her best on Saturday, when she recorded her first career hat trick in a 3-1 win at Colby.

Women's Soccer Weekly Release #3
Junior goalkeeper Elizabeth Foody allowed no goals in almost 300 minutes of action in a 2-0-1 week for Middlebury. She was at her best on Sunday, when she kept Amherst off the board with nine saves in a scoreless tie. She also posted shutouts against Plattsburgh State (1-0) and Bowdoin (1-0).

Women's Soccer Weekly Release #2
Senior Alex Rimmer registered five points on two goals and an assist in a 3-0 week for Hamilton. The forward was at her best on Saturday, when she scored both goals in the Continentals' 2-1 triumph over Connecticut College. Her second tally in the 64th minute proved to be the winner.

First year Hannah Withiam recorded two goals and an assist in a perfect 2-0 week for Hamilton. The midfielder lifted the Continentals to a dramatic 2-1 triumph over Trinity with her golden goal in double overtime on Saturday.
