MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Wesleyan senior outside hitter Lisa Drennan (Ann Arbor, Mich.) has been selected by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as a Second Team All-American. Drennan is the only player from a NESCAC or New England institution to be listed among AVCA's three All-America squads.

HADLEY, Mass. - 2008 NESCAC Volleyball Champion Williams College netted three victories over the weekend to advance out of the New England Regional and on to the 2008 NCAA Volleyball Championship hosted by Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington, Ill. The remaining eight teams in this years tournament will gather at the Shirk Center beginning on Thursday for the quarterfinals.
MEDFORD, Mass. - Williams College, the fourth seed in the NCAA Volleyball New England Regional, advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals by winning the regional championship match, 3-1, over #3 seed Wellesley College on Saturday night at Tufts Universitys Cousens Gymnasium. Williams will face Ohio Northern on Thursday, Nov. 20 in Bloomington, Ill.
MEDFORD, Mass. - The #2 seed versus the #3 seed second-round matchup in the New England Regional of the 2008 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship met all the hype as it went the full five sets with #3 Wellesley College prevailing, 3-2 (18-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 15-12), over #2 seed and host Tufts University on Friday night at Cousens Gymnasium. Wellesley (28-7) will face #4 seed Williams College in the New England Region final on Saturday night at 7 pm inside Cousens Gymnasium. Tufts season ends at 29-4.
