Middlebury Women, Williams Men Repeat as NESCAC Cross Country Championships

AMHERST, Mass. - Top-ranked Middlebury College won its third consecutive women's conference title at the 2000 NESCAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Amherst College. The Williams men's team won its seventh consecutive conference championship.

Junior Jessica Johnston of Middlebury earned individual medalist honors for the second consecutive year, winning the women's race in a time of 18:46. Leslie Crofton of Tufts finished second in 18:48.

Stephen Allison of Bowdoin earned individual honors in the men's race, placing first in a time of 25:54. Tim Campbell of Williams placed second in 26:00.

Williams finished second in the women's race with Hamilton and Amherst placing third and fourth, respectively. In the men's race, Bowdoin finished second. Trinity and Tufts placed third and fourth, respectively.
