  • Trinity SAAC Field Day With McDonough School Has Become Resounding Success

    On Tuesday, April 26, sixth grade students from The McDonough Expeditionary Learning School (MELS) bussed over to Trinity College’s Ray Oosting Gymnasium for the second annual Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) Field Day. Led by representatives from most of Trinity’s varsity teams, the MLES sixth graders’ voices could be heard throughout the building cheering on their teammates in games of dizzy bat, shuttle runs, corn hole, and basketball.
  • Williams Baseball to Wear Pete Frates Wrist Bands on Strike Out ALS Day on April 27

    Bill Barrale's Williams College baseball team will wear wrist bands honoring former Boston College baseball player Pete Frates as the Ephs support the cause to strike out the disease ALS ("Lou Gehrig's disease") when they host RPI at 4 p.m. on Bobby Coombs Field.

    Tufts University Athletics will lend its support to the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts, the Somerville Homeless Coalition, and Strike Out ALS at Saturday's baseball and men's lacrosse home games.
  • Hamilton SAAC Drives Successful Mini-Golf Tournament

    To celebrate NCAA Division III Week, Hamilton’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted a mini-golf tournament in the Field House on April 10. More than 100 students took part, along with faculty and staff and their families. While there was no fee to participate, $1,593 was raised for the One Love Foundation through donations at and before the event.
  • Colby Tennis to Host Kids Day

    The Colby men’s and women’s tennis teams will host the first annual Colby Tennis Kids Day on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the North Street Tennis Courts.
  • Middlebury SAAC to Host Sportsmanship Weekend

    The Middlebury College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is proud to sponsor a Sportmanship Weekend during all home events. Activities throughout the weekend include a "whiteout" where fans are encouraged to wear white for all athletic events, tables setup at contests for kids to get a blue 'M' painted on their cheek by Middlebury SAAC members, a halftime kid's lacrosse game during the Middlebury and Trinity NESCAC women's lacrosse contest and much more.
  • Middlebury Softball to Host Green Dot Games

    The Middlebury softball NESCAC doubleheader against Wesleyan on Saturday will serve as Middlebury's first Green Dot Games. The Panther softball team is the initial Middlebury varsity sport to become an official Green Dot team, having completed a team training sessions.

    On April 2, in a relentless rain, 20 Artists for World Peace volunteers—including Wesleyan football coach Dan DiCenzo and staunch members of the football team—loaded a 20-foot shipping container with $648,000 worth of medical equipment, eyeglasses, and other items.
