The baseball team received nearly $5,600 in donations. This marked the fourth straight year the team participated in the fundraiser and the team has seen an increase in donations each year. Most of the players had a hand in raising money to call attention to the health crisis men face today. Team members also grew mustaches throughout the month of November.
In 2015 the Movember Foundation was ranked 55th out of the top 500 non-governmental organizations around the world. The Foundation has raised $710 million and funded 1,200 men's health projects since its formation in 2003. The organization is addressing some of the biggest men's health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health and suicide prevention.
