McAlister shattered the Trinity program 8K record to finish 37th at the Louisville Classic. He crossed the finish line with a time of 24:26.7 in the Gold Race to register the fastest time among non-Division I participants.

Kearney finished 14th in a field of 370 runners from all NCAA divisions at the Paul Short Invitational (Brown Race). She posted a time of 21:30.8 over the 6K course to lead the Panthers to a seventh-place finish.


 Field Hockey Player of the WeekAbby Bashaw, Bowdoin

Abby Bashaw, Bowdoin
Junior • Midfield • West Newbury, Mass.

Bashaw scored two goals, including the overtime game-winner, as the Polar Bears defeated Hamilton on Saturday, 3-2. Bashaw has four goals this season for Bowdoin, which has won its last five outings.


German Giammattei, Amherst Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Giammattei registered both of the Mammoths’ goals in a 2-0 shutout over Wesleyan. He converted a penalty kick in the 40th minute and a header 13 minutes later. Giammattei has scored in five of Amherst’s six conference games and leads the NESCAC with 12 goals.


Cat Gambino, Hamilton Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Gambino posted a nine-point week as the Continentals won both their games. She scored the first two goals in a 4-0 victory at Bowdoin and added two goals and an assist in the first nine minutes of a 7-0 triumph against Morrisville State. She has tallied two goals in three straight matches as Hamilton extended its unbeaten streak to five (4-0-1).

Christina Nwankpa, Tufts Volleyball Co-Player of the Week

Christina Nwankpa, Tufts
Senior • Middle Hitter • Round Rock, Texas

Nwankpa led the offensive efforts in two NESCAC wins for the Jumbos. In a 3-0 win over Hamilton, she tallied 11 kills and a .588 hitting percentage and added five blocks. In a 3-0 victory over Williams, she finished with 12 kills and a .733 hitting percentage, to go with three blocks. Nwankpa finished the week averaging 1.33 blocks and 3.83 kills per set with a .656 hitting percentage. She leads the conference in blocks per set (1.06) and is third in hitting percentage (.379).


Phia Bellizzi, Wesleyan Volleyball Co-Player of the Week

Phia Bellizzi, Wesleyan
Junior • Defensive Specialist • Ladera Ranch, Calif.

Bellizzi led the Cardinals to a 2-0 week as Wesleyan defeated Colby (3-0) and Bates (3-1). Against the Mules, she recorded 17 digs. The next day, she tallied a season-high 38 digs versus the Bobcats, averaging 9.50 per set for the match.
