Gabe Wood, Middlebury College


Gabe Wood graduated summa cum laude from Middlebury College in the spring of 2006 with a degree in Economics. He was the recipient of the school’s Hazeltine-Klevenow Memorial Trophy, given annually to the senior male who best combines ability in athletics and excellence in scholarship.

On the lacrosse field, Wood was a first-team All-American and All-NESCAC selection as well as a USILA Scholar-American at Middlebury. He was also a four-year member of the men’s soccer team, serving as the captain his senior year. He was the recipient of an NCAA post-graduate scholarship as well as an award as the College’s top economics student. Wood was also named to the All-NESCAC Academic team each season he was eligible for the honor.

Wood’s teams sported a 63-10 mark on the lacrosse field, winning four NESCAC Championships. He also participated in four NCAA Tournaments, advancing to the title game twice. His men’s soccer teams went 42-14-8, with four consecutive trips to the NESCAC tournament.
