Elizabeth Guernsey, Trinity College
Elizabeth Guernsey is Trinity's recipient of the Susan E. Martin Award as the College's Most Outstanding Senior Female Scholar Athlete. Guernsey, an economics and public policy and law double major at Trinity, has been an exemplary performer in the classroom and on the water from her first day at Trinity.
The only four-year varsity rower on Trinity’s 2004 national champion varsity eight crew, she has served as a team captain for the last two seasons. The Bantam rowers have never missed the NCAA Championship Regatta in her career, winning two NESCAC titles, two New England titles, and an ECAC National Invitational title along the way. Guernsey is a two-time NESCAC All-Academic and Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar Athlete member and an 2006 All-American rower. She received a postgraduate scholarship from the NCAA this spring as well.
Elizabeth is equally passionate about her studies, having registered a 3.92 G.P.A. She has been named as a President’s Fellow in public policy & law and earned a Connecticut General Assembly Citation for Academic Achievement. She counts a congressional internship for Senator Christopher Dodd and tutoring in both economics and public policy classes among the long list of impressive experiences on her resume.
