Beret Remak, Connecticut College
Beret Remak’s determination and dominance on the tennis court played a key role in the success of the Connecticut College women’s tennis team. A three-time NCAA Qualifier and 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America, Remak reached the pinnacle in her academic and athletic pursuits. In her first season with the program, Remak made an immediate impact, leading the Camels to an 11-5 mark.
In October 2005, Remak garnered national attention, winning four consecutive matches to secure the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament (NEWITT) #1 Singles Flight Title. In 2007, Remak capped off her career by compiling a 20-4 record, advancing to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championship at Fredericksburg, Va. She was honored as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region Senior Player of the Year. At Connecticut College, Remak was the women's winner of the Anita L. DeFrantz '74 Award.
Remak was named to the 2007 All-New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Team as a first team honoree for the second consecutive year. A two-time NESCAC All-Academic team selection, Remak excelled in her major that focused on the Kinesthetic Sciences and Psychology.
