Nolan Thompson, Middlebury College
Nolan Thompson graduated from Middlebury College in the spring of 2013 with a degree in economics. During his four years on the basketball team, Thompson saw his teams earn more wins than any other class in school history (105-14, .882). He was also a three-time member of the All-NESCAC Academic team.
During his senior season, the captain earned first-team All-NESCAC honors, while being named a first-team All-Northeast District selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). He was also named the NESCAC’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Thompson was part of a historic era in the history of men’s basketball at Middlebury. The squad captured its first NESCAC Championship during his sophomore season, making its first NCAA Final Four appearance. His team appeared in the NESCAC Championship game three times, advancing to the NCAA Tournament during each of his four seasons.
Thompson finished his career ninth all-time at Middlebury in scoring, pouring in 1,174 points. His free throw percentage of .804 placed him second all-time as a Panther. He also knocked down 162 three-point field goals, while starting 108 of 112 games played in his four years.
