Logan Marro, Trinity College
Logan Marro earned a degree in political science from Trinity College, where he was an All-NESCAC rower on the men's crew team, while managing a 3.83 GPA. He was a three-time NESCAC All-Academic honoree and a two-time 2011 ECAC Stewards' All-Academic team member.
Marro was a Division I basketball prospect in high school before an injury forced him to change courses. Having never rowed prior to his college days, Marro was a natural on the water and was named the team's top oarsmen in 2010 after contributing to gold-medal finishes for the novice boat in both the New England and ECAC National Championships. Marro went on to contribute to several medal-winning performances in local, national, and international rowing events, and was selected as one of three team captains in his senior year.
As a senior, Marro was recognized as Trinity's Senior Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, presented annually to the senior male who is voted most outstanding in athletics and scholarship. The previous spring, Marro received the Bob Harron Award, as Trinity's top junior male scholar-athlete.
Marro begins his professional career in New York City, after having competed at England's prestigious Henley Rowing Regatta this summer with the Trinity crew team.
