Meet Minhaj Rahman - Middlebury Men's Track & Field

Minhaj Rahman graduated from Middlebury College in May with a 3.72 GPA and a degree in neuroscience with a minor in global health. He was a member of Panther men’s track and field team. Rahman is a Woodhaven, New York native and a product of Townsend Harris High School.
During the 2019 outdoor season, he won the hammer throw in seven meets. Rahman broke the school record multiple times, establishing his best mark of 195’11” at the New England Championships in early May. Weeks later, he capped his career with an All-American seventh-place effort at the NCAA Championships.
The indoor portion of the schedule for Rahman was just as successful. He claimed the weight throw event title on eight different occasions, including a school-record toss of 63’6” at the Tufts Last Chance Meet. Rahman ended the indoor slate with an NCAA All-American effort when he finished eighth at a distance of 62’7.25”.
He was also a five-time All-NESCAC Academic selection and is fluent in three languages as well as a member of multiple acapella singing groups while at Middlebury.
Rahman was selected as the recipient of the Middlebury John P. Stabile '40 Memorial Trophy, awarded annually to the male athlete who best exemplifies the Middlebury spirit.
