HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity senior center Joe Magardino has been honored by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) as a First Team All-American. Magardino, a two-time All-NESCAC First Team selection, was the only individual from a NESCAC team on the 25-player squad.
The Chappaqua, N.Y. native anchored an offensive line that produced the league’s most potent rushing attack that averaged 208.6 yards per game. Magardino and the rest of the offensive line also surrendered just 11 sacks all season. The Bantams finished the 2014 campagin with a 5-3 record after dropping its final three games of the season, the last two by one point apiece.
