CLINTON, N.Y. - The Trinity College came away with a 2-0 victory over the Hamilton Continentals on Saturday at a rainy Goodfriend Field in Clinton, N.Y. in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. The Bantams improve to 12-4 on the year and advance to next weekend's semifinals at Middlebury. Hamilton falls to 10-6 on the year with the loss.

The Bantams got on the board first less than eight minutes into the first half when Kendall Brown scored off a rebound. Caelin Flaherty fired a shot on goal that Hamilton goalie Julia Booth initially saved, but the rebound fell to Brown who stuffed the ball into the back of the box to give the Bantams an early, 1-0 lead.

Out of the half, Trinity added to its lead in the 46th minute when Nicole Quinlan scored her fifth goal of the season off a penalty corner. Off the corner, Flaherty took a shot from the top of the arc that was heading towards the left post, before Quinlan tipped the ball past Booth and into the goal to put the Bantams up, 2-0.

Lori Berger made four saves in the second half to keep Hamilton off the board and help seal the 2-0 victory. Trinity tallied nine penalty corners while the Continentals recorded six. Trinity, which outshot Hamilton, 23-14, posted its 11th shutout thanks in part to Berger's six saves. With the shutout, Berger breaks the college's record for most clean sheets in a single season (10).
