Tufts and Amherst will face each other in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship quarterfinal round on Wednesday, May 13. Tufts advanced after defeating Bates in the second round, while Amherst moved on following a win over Middlebury.
Middlebury first-year John Jackson won 81 percent of his face-offs in a pair of games against Williams. In the NESCAC Quarterfinals, he won 27 of 30 face-offs and scored a goal to be named NESCAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
Amherst sophomore Cody Tranbarger made 21 saves in the Jeffs' 12-6 win over Tufts to move to the top of the standings heading into the regular season finale to earn NESCAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week accolades.
Amherst junior Quinn Moroney recorded five goals and six assists in a pair of wins en route to becoming the program's career points leader in the modern era to be named NESCAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
