  • NESCAC Final: No. 2 Wesleyan 9, No. 6 Middlebury 8

    Wesleyan outscored Middlebury 4-0, over the final 19 minutes to pull out a 9-8 victory and win the 2017 NESCAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Sunday at Garcelon Field. The second-seeded Cardinals (16-1) won their second conference championship in the tournament's 17-year existence, having also won in 2009, and earned the NESCAC's automatic qualifier to compete in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

    The Tufts men's lacrosse team used a dominant third quarter to pull ahead and held off a late Bowdoin rally to earn a 12-11 victory in the quarterfinals of the NESCAC Championship on Saturday afternoon at Pickard Field.
  • 2017 NESCAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Seeding Announced

    Bates clinched the top seed in the NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship for the first time in program history by virtue of its win over Connecticut College on April 22. The Bobcats finished the regular season with a 10-0 mark in conference play, and are the first NESCAC team to go unbeaten in league play since 2005 when Middlebury went 9-0. The NESCAC Quarterfinals are set for Saturday, April 29. Wesleyan, Amherst, and Bowdoin join Bates as quarterfinal hosts. The highest remaining seed following the quarterfinals will host the semifinals and championship on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7.
