Baek went 2-1 during the NESCAC Championship while playing at the No. 2 position. She swept her opponents from Hamilton (11-6, 11-5, 11-6) and Middlebury (13-11, 12-10, 12-10) before losing against Trinity (11-3, 11-2, 11-2) in the championship match.

Means, playing at the No. 4 position, clinched a come-from-behind 5-4 win for Williams over Middlebury in the NESCAC Semifinals to send the Ephs into the championship match for the first time since 2015. Means was the final player on court with the match tied 4-4, winning in five games (11-13,11-8,11-4, 2-11,11-6). He went 2-1 in the championship, also earning a win over Bowdoin (11-6,11-5,11-7) and dropping a match to Trinity (11-9,11-4,11-4).

Tolba won at the No. 5 position against his opponent from Yale, 3-0 (11-2, 11-5, 11-3), and clinched the match for the Bantams in a win over Penn, defeating his opponent, 3-1 (11-8, 6-11, 11-8, 11-9).

O’Brien was a perfect 4-0 on the weekend at the No. 5 spot for the Bobcats, defeating her opponent from Tufts in a five-game thriller (11-4, 8-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-7). She also posted two 3-0 wins against opponents from William Smith (11-0, 11-4, 11-2) and Mount Holyoke (11-3, 11-6, 11-6) on Saturday. She clinched the victory for Bates with a four-game match win over her opponent from Amherst (8-11, 11-3, 11-9, 11-7) on Sunday to wrap up the weekend. O’Brien has won 15 straight matches for Bates.

With the match against Columbia knotted at 4-4, Lee saved match-points at the seventh spot to win in five games, 10-12, 9-11, 11-5, 11-2, 13-11. The 5-4 win helped the Bantams remain unbeaten versus Columbia and on the season.

Polgar improved to 7-1 on the season individually, defeating an opponent from Williams, 3-0 (11-5, 11-8, 11-4) and an opponent from Middlebury, 3-1 (11-7, 11-5, 9-11, 11-7), both from the top position. Polgar has won three-straight matches.

Butler won at the No. 9 position three times last weekend for the Ephs. He defeated Columbia’s Matthew Rello (11-5, 11-6, 11-8) to pick up a point for Williams. Then was victorious over Drexel’s Will Grady (11-9, 9-11, 11-4, 11-6) to earn one of the two points for the Ephs. He wrapped up the weekend with an 11-3, 11-9, 11-7 win over Aryaman Pandya of Tufts to lead Williams to a 7-2 victory.

Soloway won the deciding match in Hamilton ‘s 5-4 win over Mount Holyoke. She came back from two games down and saved five match balls in the fourth game in a 3-2 win over Lessly Portillo of Mount Holyoke 8-11, 8-11, 11-7, 16-14, 11-6. Sydney was 2-0 on the weekend, also defeating her St. Lawrence opponent Katherine Leiva, 3-0 (11-1, 11-2, 11-4).

With the match against Dickinson knotted at 4-4, sophomore Attia came back from a 2-1 deficit to win 12-10 in the fifth game, defeating his opponent 11-6, 9-11, 6-11, 11-6, 12-10 at the third position. Attia’s win clinched a 5-4 victory for the Bobcats.

Ward went 3-1 at the top position last week, earning wins over Connecticut College (11-2, 11-3, 11-6), Hamilton (11-2, 11-6, 11-2), and William Smith (11-1, 11-3, 11-4).
