2018 NESCAC Track & Field Performers of the Week

Men's Track Performer of the Week - April 23
Sage Bailin - Colby Sage Bailin
Colby College
Sophomore • Amherst, Mass.

Bailin broke his own school record while competing against a field of all Division I hurdlers, taking fifth place out of 30 competitors at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational. His time of 53.40 is the second best time in the conference this year.

Men's Field Performer of the Week - April 23
Brian Greenberg - Bowdoin Brian Greenberg
Bowdoin College
Senior • Slingerlands, N.Y.

Greenberg claimed first place in the long jump with a mark of 6.95 meters. He also contributed a second-place finish in the triple jump to help the Polar Bears win the Maine State Track & Field Championships.

Women's Track Performer of the Week - April 23
Sarah Kelley - Bowdoin Sarah Kelley
Bowdoin College
Senior • Winnetka, Ill.

Kelley won a pair of events at the Aloha Relays to lead the Polar Bears to a team win. She won the 800 meters in a time of 2:14.63, before winning the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:37.62. She holds the top NESCAC time in the 1,500 meters, and sits in second in the 800 meters.

Women's Field Performer of the Week - April 23
Julia Kissel - Tufts Julia Kissel

Sophomore • Ramsey, N.J.

Kissel broke her own school record in the javelin throw with a toss of 39.81 meters at the Sunshine Classic. Her mark is the second-best in the conference.

Men's Track Performer of the Week - April 16
Eli Saucier - Hamilton Eli Saucier
Hamilton College
Senior • Douglasville, Ga.

Saucier won both the 100 and 200-meter dashes at the SUNY Delhi Bronco Classic Invitational. Saucier crossed the finish line in a time of 10.69 to improve his own school record in the 100 meters. He clocked a time of 21.95 in the 200 meters. He ranks first in the conference in the 100-meters.

Men's Field Performer of the Week - April 16
James Gibson - Colby James Gibson
Colby College
Sophomore • Solon, Ohio

Gibson won the long jump with a school record mark of 7.21 meters and placed fourth in the high jump at the Penmen Invitational. He currently sits atop the NESCAC leaderboard in the long jump and has the second-best conference mark in the high jump.

Women's Track Performer of the Week - April 16
Brittany Bowman - Tufts Brittany Bowman
Tufts University
Senior • Camden, Maine

Bowman recorded a time of 16:42.30 to win the 5,000-meter run at Connecticut College’s Silfen Invitational. Bowman currently leads the NESCAC in the event.

Women's Field Performer of the Week - April 16
Koko Mensah - Connecticut College Koko Mensah

Sophomore • Orange, N.J.

Mensah broke her own school record in the shot put with a toss of 13.52 meters to win the event at the Silfen Invitational. She is ranked first in the conference in the event.

Men's Track Performer of the Week - April 9
Scott Mason - Connecticut College Scott Mason
Connecticut College
Junior • Wyndmoor, Pa.

Mason finished fifth overall and first among Division III competitors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Sam Howell Invitational. He notched a time of 9:12.24 and currently sits atop the NESCAC leaderboard in the event.
Men's Field Performer of the Week - April 9
Adedire Fakorede - Bates Adedire Fakorede
Bates College
Senior • Newark, N.J.

Fakorede contributed 24 points for the Bobcats at the Tufts Quad Meet. He won the hammer throw (165-11) and the discus (159-7) before finishing third in the shot put (46-8).
Women's Track Performer of the Week - April 9
Katherine Cook - Bates Katherine Cook
Bates College
Senior • South Burlington, Vt.

Cook broke the Bates outdoor record in the 5,000-meter run by clocking a time of 16:49.10 to win the event at the Tufts Quad Meet. Cook is currently the top-ranked NESCAC runner in the 5,000-meter event.
Women's Field Performer of the Week - April 9
Aly Saperstein - Connecticut College Aly Saperstein

Senior • Simsbury, Conn.

Saperstein won the javelin throw with a toss of 128-10 at the Coast Guard Academy Spring Invitational. She currently sits atop the NESCAC leaderboard in the event. Saperstein also threw 140-10 in the hammer throw, good for fourth place.
Men's Track Performer of the Week - April 2
Jimmy Martinez - Middlebury Jimmy Martinez
Middlebury College
Junior • Maplewood, N.J.

At the Point Loma Nazarene Invitational, Martinez won the 400-meter race with a time of 47.78 to set a meet and school record. He currently holds the top NESCAC time in that event.  He also contributed to the winning 4x400-meter relay team at the California Collegiate Open.
Men's Field Performer of the Week - April 2
Tobias Muellers - Williams Tobias Muellers
Williams College
Senior • Burlington, Vt.

At the UC Riverside Multi-Invitational, Muellers finished the decathlon in fourth place with 6,670 points. His long jump ranks at the top of the NESCAC, while he sits in third for the javelin and the pole vault.

Bowman clocked a time of 34:51.07 in the 10,000 meters at the Tufts Snowflake Classic. Her time is the top mark for the event in the NESCAC.

Sophomore • Yarmouth, Maine

Egan posted a mark of 5’8” (1.73m) in the heptathlon high jump at the UC Riverside Multi-Invitational. Her mark is good for the top spot in the NESCAC.
