CLINTON, N.Y. - Erin Reding, formerly an assistant women's volleyball coach at Connecticut College, has been named the head women's volleyball coach at Hamilton College. Reding had been an assistant at Connecticut College for the past two seasons.
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin women's volleyball coach Karen Corey has been chosen as the Assistant Coach to the All-Navy Women's Volleyball team. The All-Navy Sports Program is a national sports program conducted under the Armed Forces Sports Program.
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Amherst suffered a 3-0 setback to defending NCAA Volleyball champion Juniata on Thursday afternoon at the Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University. The Lord Jeffs finish their season with a school-best 30-5 record, while the Eagles advance to Friday's semifinal round.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In a battle of the at-large bids, Amherst College upended MIT, 30-25, 30-16, 24-30, 30-23, in the final of the NCAA Division III Womens Volleyball New England Regional on Saturday night. The Lord Jeffs (30-4) will meet up with Juniata College on Thursday, Nov. 15 in the quarterfinals which will be hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University. Following their second straight regional final appearance, the Engineers finished the season with a record of 36-3.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In NCAA New England regional action at MIT on Friday, Amherst College battled NESCAC rival Williams College for the third time this season, and went to five games for the third time, with Amherst winning 3-2. The Jeffs advance to face MIT on Saturday in the Regional championship.

In a re-match of the Jeffs season-opener, Amherst looked to repeat the result of a Sept. 8, 2007 3-1 win. Amherst did itself one better with a 3-0 sweep to advance to the second round on Friday against the winner of the Williams-Endicott match.
HADLEY, Mass. - Amherst senior outside hitter Jaclyn DeMais (Hillsdale, N.J.) has been named the 2007 NESCAC Player of the Year, as determined by the conference coaches. DeMais helped the Jeffs finish first in the NESCAC standings this season with a 9-1 conference record along with an appearance in the final match of the NESCAC Volleyball Championship for the second-straight year. She is the first player from Amherst to earn the leagues top honor this decade.
AMHERST, Mass. - Second-seeded Williams came away with a 3-2 victory over top-seeded Amherst on Sunday in the final match of the 2007 NESCAC Volleyball Championship. The match pitted the two finalists from last year's championship against each other once again, as Amherst claimed the 2006 title by a 3-1 score at Williams. The Ephs earned their first championship since 2004 and seventh overall. Amherst moves to 27-4 on the year and will hope for an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, while Williams improves to 27-7 and earns an automatic berth.
